The 1938-1940 Knucklehead frame replica covers the most mature years of pre-war straightleg production — a period in which the platform had reached its fullest development before the war interrupted everything. Compatible with both EL and UL engines, these frames represent proven Knucklehead engineering at its pre-war peak. This replica reproduces the straightleg geometry and 28° neck angle of OEM 2801-36, correct to the 1938–1940 production run.
Delivered bare with a certificate. Cast components carry the original casting numbers as used by Harley-Davidson in period production — a detail we consider essential for any restoration that aims to be truly period-correct.
