The 1941-1945 Knucklehead wishbone frame replica covers the final pre-war production years and the wartime period that followed — a span of history that gives these machines a weight no other era can match. Harley-Davidson introduced the wishbone lower tubes with the 1941 model year, creating the silhouette that would define the Big Twin for the decade ahead. Civilian production was sharply curtailed after 1941, making surviving originals from this run genuinely scarce. This replica reproduces the wishbone geometry and 29° neck angle of OEM 47000-40, for EL and UL engines.
Delivered bare with a certificate. Cast components carry the original casting numbers as used by Harley-Davidson in period production — a detail we consider essential for any restoration that aims to be truly period-correct.
