Authenticity & Accuracy
The 1947 Knucklehead wishbone frame replica is built to the specification of the final production year of the Knucklehead engine – a machine that had defined American motorcycling for over a decade. The 1947 model carried the wishbone geometry and 30° neck angle that Harley-Davidson had refined since 1941, delivered in what would prove to be its last iteration before the Panhead arrived. For restorers, building a correct 1947 means starting with the right frame. This replica reproduces the wishbone geometry of OEM 47000-40A for EL and UL engines.
Delivered bare with a certificate. Cast components carry the original casting numbers as used by Harley-Davidson in period production – a detail we consider essential for any restoration that aims to be truly period-correct.
