The 1948 Panhead wishbone frame replica marks the beginning of one of the most iconic periods in Harley-Davidson history – the arrival of the Panhead engine in the proven wishbone frame. The curved lower frame tubes of the wishbone design are the most recognisable feature of the early Panhead, giving these machines a silhouette that restorers and builders have chased for decades. This replica reproduces the wishbone geometry and 30° neck angle of OEM 47000-40A, correct to the first Panhead production year, for EL and FL engines.
Delivered bare with a certificate. Cast components carry the original casting numbers as used by Harley-Davidson in period production – a detail we consider essential for any restoration that aims to be truly period-correct.
